If you have a camera, this contest is for you!

Grab your camera, walk down the Mada Streets and peep into the nooks around Sri Kapali Temple in Mylapore on January 5, 6, 7 and 8, 2006, shoot amazing pictures of the mela, the life and the people here, post them on the public board, and win prizes.

The contest is part of the annual Sundaram Finance-MYLAPORE FESTIVAL 2006.

This four-day festival presnets many events which take place at different venues, and mostly in the evenings. The biggest of them is the kolam contest in which over 400 women participate on two evenings ( Jan. 7 and 8, 3.30pm onwards).
So there are amazing subjects, variety of themes and endless people to shoot!

RULES OF THE CONTEST:

Simple. Shoot any picture you wish but it must be shot between Jan.5 and Jan. 8 ( by 6pm) and must be related to the events and areas of the Festival.

You are permitted to post only 2 pictures on a board placed on a street near the RASI store near the Temple. Write your full name, address and contact phone nos. behind the pictures you submit.

Ensure the volunteer at this place, also enters your submission in his/her file. Photos must be submitted by Jan.8, 8pm.

PRIZES -

The best THREE photos get a prize of Rs.1000, a Mylapore memento and a certificate each.

TEN CONSOLATION prizes of a Mylapore memento and certificate each.

Top three prize winning pictures will be published in 'Mylapore Times'.

Awards will be announced on Jan.8 at about 9pm. and given away at the main venue.

Judges decision is final. All photos become the property of 'Mylapore Festival'.
