Press Conference held on Jan. 18, 2010
 On January 18, a Press Conference was held to announce the launch of the 2010 edition of sundaram Finace Mylapore Festival at the Corporate Office, Sundaram Finance, Patullos Road.
The festival T Shirt for this year was unveiled and a cloth bag that will be distributed in return for a plastic bag during the festival across the Mylapore Festival area was also released.
Pre Events, Contests held on Jan. 10, 2010

On January 10, Sunday, three pre-events set off a colourful tone to the festival ahead.
 Discover Mylapore Contest
About 30 teams participated in the contest. Some went around Mylapore on their bicycles, some by motor bikes and some took it leisurely by walk.
After a briefing session, the teams left Nageswara Rao Park at 7.15 pm after discussing strategies at the start point.
The teams came back to drop off their answer sheets around 9.15 pm and dispersed after a cup of tea.
 Create a Kolam Contest for Kids
More than 25 kids drew and coloured their imaginative designs on the given sheet with a set pattern of dots.
At 8 am, the Chess Square in the Nageswara Rao park was abuzz with pencils and crayons and kids and parents.
A prelude to the Kolam contest for adults, which is also to be held on a set pattern of dots this year.
 Colour a T-shirt Design Contest
Around 30 children gathered to colour a T Shirt design already printed on a sheet of paper. The outlines got brighter with imaginative additions and new design for Festival T Shirt came up on the sheet.
From crayons to oil paints to glitters, the basic design got colourful in the hands of the children.
Prizes will be awarded at the Mylapore Quiz Contest finale - Jan 24 afternoon at Lady Sivaswamy School hall.
